Getting downloaded videos onto an iPhone or iPad

Getting your downloads onto your iPhone or iPad is easy if you do it the recommended way.   Apple doesn't currently support the direct downloading of files to their devices.  Even though there are some third party apps that can make this happen, Apple doesn't support it and we have heard that it doesn't always work as expected.  This is how Apple suggests getting files (like your videos) onto your iPhone or iPad:

From our download, open the data folder. Then drag the root MP4 video files into your iTunes (they will show up as TV shows). Then sync your iPad/iPhone with your iTunes. Then the videos will be on your device!

That's it.  Also, if you are managing several different downloaded videos from your iTunes and wireless device it's good to keep them sorted by Title.  For example, if you have several different Logic tutorials but they all have Eli Krantzberg as the author, the videos may get sorted as one big tutorial.

To fix this, change the Sort Option to Title.  In iTunes it's under View, then view options, then a small window will open allowing you to change the sort option.

There you go.  Now you can watch your videos where ever you take your iPhone or iPad.
